Bhadrakali Thullal

Bhadrakali Thullal is a devotional offering of Pulayas for goddess Bhadrakali. The dance is usually performed after the harvest. It is conducted in special pandal (canopy) which is constructed in the field. The dance has numerous phases. Different types of make-up and costumes are used for each phase and the participants dance to the accompaniment of devotional songs and percussion instruments.
