Basella Rubra




Basella Rubra is an herbal plant grown in India. It is also known by the names Ceylon spinach, climbing spinach, gui, acelga trepadora, bretana, libato, vine spinach, and Malabar nightshade. This is a heat-loving vine and grows rapidly in the heat of summer. The leaves are fleshy and are used as a popular vegetable in the old world tropics. They are used in many recipes. Basella Rubra is rich with minerals and vitamins. It also acts as a good sedative.
