Barodia Kalan




Barodia Kalan is a small sleepy village situated on the Jhansi Road in Khurai Taluk, Sagar District. It is around 39 km north of Sagar, Madhya Pradesh. Pollution free atmosphere, friendly hospitality of the local inhabitants and hygienic surroundings make Barodia Kalan an ideal location for tourists. The late mediaeval ruined fort in this village is the main attraction.

A massive encounter took place at Barodia Kalan between the British force and the insurgents on 31 January 1858. However, away from the urban chaos, this hamlet is an oasis of peace and tranquility.

Saugor Railway Station and Bhopal Airport are the nearest access points.
