Barbaru is a small town in
Dibrugarh District. It is 10 km north of
Dibrugarh town. It is surrounded by Sisi Bargaon and Dihingmukh in the west, Chutiya Mirigaon in the north, Mohanbari in the east and Khowang in the south. The two big, old graveyards of high-ranking officials of the
Ahom Dynasty,
Barbarua Maidam is the main attraction.
Dibrugarh Airport is the nearest airport and Dibrugarh Town Railway Station is the nearest railhead. By road, National Highway 37 links Barbaru with the rest of the state.
