Barangi

Barangi (Clerodendron serratum), a slightly woody shrub bearing pink white flowers, is perfect for several eye diseases. The roots and leaves possess much medicinal importance. A decoction of the root is taken to relieve asthma and bronchitis. Poultice from the leaves is used as skin suppuration. Barangi is also useful in sinusitis. A sterolglucoside and a glycosidic material, phenolic are isolated from this plant.
