Bangla Khol




A popular instrument for devotional and folk music, Bangla Khol is a two-faced barrel shaped asymmetrical drum common in West Bengal. The instrument is played with the fingers as it dangles round the neck of the player. The right face of the drum is three to five inches in diameter. The right face has a high pitch, whereas the left face having six to eight inches in diameter produces a low bass sound.
