Balu Ka Gera




Balu Ka Gera is a scenic village located 13 km from Chhika in Lahaul and Spiti District. It lies at an elevation of about 3,500 m, along the ManaliChandra Tal Lake - Hamta Pass trek route. The village is surrounded by meadows. Animals such as the beer, mountain ibex, snow leopard and fox are found in the region. Balu Ka Gera is famous for wild flowers. It offers enchanting views of the Hamta Pass. Nearby tourist destinations are Prini, Hamta Pass, Chhika, Rohtang Pass and Panduropa. It is an ideal base for trekking and mountaineering. Base camps are available.

Kullu Manali Airport at Bhuntar is the nearest airport. Chandigarh Railway Station and Joginder Nagar Railway Station are the nearest railway stations.
