Balachandran Chullikad is one of
Kerala's most admired and respected living poets. He was born on July, 1957 at Paravoor, in
Ernakulam District. He published his first book of poems, 'Patinettukavitakal', in 1982. Later he published six collections of poems and a book of prose. His poems have been translated into many Indian languages including English. The Library of Congress has all his published works. 'Amavasi', 'Annam', 'Evide John', 'Poku priyappetta paksi', and 'Yatramoli' are some among his poems.
