Baiga Pardhauni Dance




The Baiga tribe of Madhya Pradesh has its own set of indigenous dances. Notable among them is the Baiga Pardhauni.

It is a major event in a wedding in the tribal community. Performed exclusively by men, it involves the donning the disguises of various animals and birds and performing their related actions. This dance is performed in the venue of the wedding to greet the procession carrying the groom.
