Bael Tree, one of the sacred trees of the Hindus, grows wild in the sub-Himalayan forests, central India and dry hilly places.
The roots are used asa drug to cure diarrhoea, dysentery, dyspepsia, stomachalgia, cardiopalmus, seminal weakness, vomiting, intermittent fever, and swellings. The leaves are used to cure ophthalmia, deafness, inflammations, catarrh, diabetes, and asthmatic complaints.
