Avchitgad, a historic fort, is placed in the hills in the south Konkan region of the
Sahyadris. There are many water tanks, cannons, inscriptions, and fortifications. Small idols of Bhavani Devi and Pingalsai Devi are found there. The fort is across the
Kundalika river and is 5 km from the town of
Roha.
