Ashy-Faced Owl (Tyto glaucops) is similar in size and appearance to the
American Barn Owl, but overall darker, grayer, and with a distinctly ashy-gray facial disk. The size ranges from 26-43cm, and weighs 200-400g.
Ashy-Faced Owl resides on open woodland, forest, scrub and often around towns and villages. They prey primarily on small mammals and birds, but also hunt tree frogs and lizards.
