Arikamedhu

Arikamedhu is an archeological site, located 20 km from Pondicherry town. It was an Indo-Roman trading center. Numerous excavations conducted at this place have unearthed ancient Roman coins, wine jars and other remnants.

The nearest airport is at Chennai. The nearest railway station is Pondicherry Railway Station.
