Anthurium

Anthurium (Anthurium spp), a native of Mexico, is also grown in India. It is an excellent tropical perennial for interiors and cut flower arrangements. The plant is characterized by big, heart shaped flowers and shiny, dark green foliage. The blooms or spathe comes in white, pink, red, cream or green. Anthurium grows mainly in pots, and also on the trunk of tree ferns. It likes well-aerated medium (coarse soil mixes) with good water preservation capability.
