Annapurna, one of a largest farms in
Pondicherry, is located 10 km from
Auroville. This eco-friendly farm is spread over an area of 135 acres and is enriched with black cotton soil.
Annapurna produces a large quantity of dry land crops such as millet, rosella, oilseeds, rice and pulses. It also functions as a research centre for ecological and biodynamic farming. Annapurna maintains a collection of non-hybridized local seed stock.
