Angaraka

Angaraka, a planet-god of the Hindus, is also known as Mangal, Kuja and Mars. He is regarded as a god of martial character. A prayer to this planet is supposed to free one from debts, poverty, and illnesses affecting the skin. This planet bestows property and conveyance on the devotees. It is also believed that loss of eyesight can be restored by a prayer to Angaraka. Worship of Angaraka is done on Tuesdays. He loves the chanting of Sama Veda (one of the ancient vedas).
