Welcomed by three sculptured ducks standing on a hill, Anappara is a hill station located in Upputhura panchayat of
Idukki District. The place is an ideal picnic spot where nature has turned herself into a lavish sculptor. Viewd from a distance, Anappara looks like a wild tusker standing on its knees.
Anappara can be approached from Muthiappara on foot. Journey during monsoon is dangerous as the rock may turn slippery. There are regular bus services from Kottayam to Upputhara. Taxis are available from Parappu. Accommodations are available at
