Amini-Pitti

Amini-Pitti is one of the five submerged banks of Lakshadweep. It has a lagoon area of about 156 sq km. The depth of this bank ranges from 15 to 38 meters. Echograms indicate an irregular topography of coral banks. The ten bottom samples collected from this bank mainly consist of coral pieces towards the north, and sand and coral pieces towards the south.
