Amateur Astronomer's Assocation of Vadodara




Founded in 1996, the Amateur Astronomer's Association of Vadodara (AAAV) is a group of amateur astronomers who stand for the promotion of astronomy among the common people. It organizes regular sessions of night sky observation through telescope and arranges lecture sessions on various topics of Astronomy and Astrophysics on every Sunday. The association conducts film shows, slide shows, exhibitions, work-shops, seminars and special observation programs during the astronomical events. Live planetarium shows through computer is another feature. The association also takes part in studies and collection of data of comets tracking, planets, sun spots, occultation, eclipse, meteor showers and variable stars.

Amateur Astronomer's Assocation of Vadodara conducts certificate course in Astronomy, Physics and Observational (practical) Astronomy.
