Alori




Alori belongs to the family Oxalidaceae and grows commonly in open slope place. Its stems are hairy, spreading, and rooting at nodes, which bears leaves with three heart shaped hairy leaflets. The flowers are yellow, solitary or 2 to 5 stalked axillary umbels.

A paste from the combination of the aerial parts of the herb and pepper is applied to boils, abscesses, wounds, and weeping eczems. The juice extracted from the leaves cure eye cataract and warts.

Wood Sorrel, Changeri, Khat-mith, and Umalori are other names. It is found commonly in Himachal Pradesh.
