Alarsa



Alarsa is a village located in Borsad Taluk of Anand District, Gujarat. Spread over an area of around 7 sq km, the village is said to be founded by Ramji Vanzara in the 13th century. The village was named Allhrasa during the reign of the Muslim ruler Alauddin. The name was later shortened as Alarsa.

Major point of attraction is the Ramji Mandir, Shri Morlidhar Mandir, Shri Bhimnath Mahadev and the temple of Bhathuji Maharaj. It is believed that Lord Ram spent one night here and the temple was established in memory of this incident.
