Alandurai

Alandurai (also spelt Alanthurai) is a sleepy settlement located on the outskirts of Coimbatore in Coimbatore District, Tamil Nadu. It spans an area of about 22 sq km. Thondamuthur lies in the north-east of Alandurai, Thenkarai in the east and Ettimadai in the south-east. Lying on the Western Ghats, Alandurai commands enchanting views of the Shiruvani Ghats. Nearby places of interest include Thondamuthur, Mundur, Kandivalli, Attappady, Perur, Palakkad and Walayar. The nearest airport is C A Coimbatore Airport. Ettimadai Railway Station serves the town. Coimbatore Junction Railway Station is the nearest major railhead. Alandurai can be approached from Coimbatore.
