Al-Athar Al-Baqia is one of the famous works of
Abu Raihan Mohammad Ibn Ahmad al-Biruni. He was an outstanding astronomer, mathematician, physicist, physician, geographer, geologist and historian. The book discusses the rotation of the earth and gives correct values of latitudes and longitudes of various places. He has also made many contributions to several topics of physical and economic geography in this book.
