Agappai Kinnari

Agappai Kinnari is a primitive form of stringed instrument. Its construction is rather simple utilizing a bamboo stem and a half coconut shell. The bamboo stem, which forms the finger-board, is fixed to the coconut shell. This structure has a covering of animal hide. One or two strings are attached lengthwise over the finger-board.
