Adiwasi Girasias

Adiwasi Girasias are the descendants of the Rajputs who married Bhil women. They mainly inhabit the Banaskantha and Sabarkantha districts of Gujarat.

The name Girasia refers to the Rajput and other landholders living in Gujarat and Rajasthan regions. The language spoken is Adiwasi Girasia, an Indo-Aryan language.

Both men and women of Adiwasi Girasias love to dress with silver ornaments. Men are usually seen in red or white turbans and long-sleeved shirts while women wear black or red blouses and big red petticoats. Adiwasi Girasias are fond of tattoos.
