Active (Action for Collective Tribal Improvement and Vocational Education), a voluntary service organization with twin aims of education and self-reliance, commenced its operations in 1987 in
Andhra Pradesh. The main purpose is to uplift the under privileged people living in the remote areas of
Khammam. All the services are offered regardless of race, caste, creed, community or religion. It has implemented programmes such as community organization, community health, sustainable agriculture, urban initiatives, tribal self reliance and supplementary education.
