Arackaparambil Kurian Antony, popularly known as A K Antony, was the 18th Chief Minister of
Kerala. He was born at
Cherthala in
Alappuzha, in 1941. He did his primary education in Government High school, Cherthala and took his degree in BA from Maharajas College and BL from Law College,
Ernakulam.
Antony came into the limelight of politics in his school days leading student's movements in his school days. Later he became the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee Secretary and liaison committee member of UDF in 1970. He was the Chief Minister of Kerala in 1977-78, 1995-96 and 2001-04 periods also.
