Tongsa Gompa (Bhutanese Monastery)


Founded in 1692, Tongsa Gompa is the oldest monastery located in Kalimpong, a small hill station between Siliguri and Gangtok. The original building was destroyed by the Gurkhas during their rampage across Sikkim.
