Naksalbari, also spelt Naxalbari, is a
taluk headquarters town in
West Bengal's
Darjeeling District. The town lies near the Indo-Nepal border.
Siliguri, the sub-divisional town of the district, is 24 km to the east.
Mirik 24 km to the north,
Bagdogra 10 km to the east and Kharibari 14 km to the south are some of the prominent towns in the neighborhood.
In and around the town there are many enchanting spots to visit, notable among them are Tea-estate of Naxalbari,
Darjeeling,
Summand Lake and Singha Devi Mandir.
Civil Enclave Bagdogra is the nearest airport.
Naksalbari Railway Station serves the town.
