Kakdwip




Kakdwip, an important junction for water transport in South 24 Parganas District, is 91 km from Kolkata and 43 km from Diamond Harbour. River Ganges spreads wide here. The place is of historical importance, for it served as the centre of the great Te-bhaga rebellion of undivided Bengal.
