Jakpur, also spelled Jakput, is a tiny village in Midnapore District of West Bengal, about 9 km east of Midnapore. The village is famous for roses and has gained the name of 'rose capital' of the state. Almost 60 to 70 rose nurseries sporting roses of various hybrids, new and old ones, are found here.

St Mary's Cathedral, Jagganath temple, Vidyasagar Smriti Bhavan Sangrahasala, Kanak Durga Mandir, Malleshwar Temple and Kalaikunda are spiritual and tourist destinations accessible from here.

National Highway 6 serves Jakpur. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport and Kharagpur Junction Railway Station are the nearest airport and railway station.
