Madangopaljiu Temple

Madangopaljiu Temple is situated at Mellak village, near Bagnan town in Howrah District. It was built in 1651 and contains some early specimens of terracotta art. The temple is an interesting spot for pilgrims, as well as tourists interested in archeology.

Bagnan is about 46 km from Kolkata, which is well connected to other cities and towns by road and rail.
