Kalna




Kalna is a famous town situated about 80 km from Kolkata in Bardhaman District. The town is famous for numerous Shiva temples and is considered as one of the Shaktapiths. Main attractions are the temple of Debi Bhabani, Sri Gauranga Mandir, Siddheshwari Temple, 108 Shiv Mandirs, and Krishna Chandra Mandir. Some of these temples have intricate terracotta designs.

Kalna is 50 km from Bardhaman. Private and govenment buses ply between Bardhaman and Kalna. All Howrah - Katwa trains go via Kalna. Buses to Kalna are also available from Nabadwip, in neighbouring Nadia District.
