Chandi Ghat is situated three kilometers from Chandi Devi Temple in
Haridwar District. The Ghat lies on the banks of
River Ganga. It is believed that Chanda Munda (the army chief of the local demon king, Shumbha Nishumbha) was killed by Goddess Chandi at this place. Hence the name 'Chandi.'
The place offers a panoramic view of Neel Parvat. The region is filled with dense forests. Nildhara River flows close by. Nearby interesting destinations include Maya Devi Temple, Gauri Shankar Temple, Mansa Devi Temple and Bhimgoda Kund.
