Baijnath




Baijnath, 26 km from Bageshwar town, is situated by the bank of river Gomati, on the Bageshwar-Almora- Gwaldam motor road. This place is famous for the temple complex built by the Katyuri kings. This 13th century AD complex has temples dedicated to Shiva, Ganesh, Parvati, Chandika, Kuber, Surya, and Brahma.

The nearest airport is at Pant Nagar, 206 km and Kathgodam (180 km) is the nearest railhead. Bageshwar is well connected with all the major towns of the state and taxis are available for local transport.
