Misrikh



Mishrit, also known as Misrikh, is a religious place located 10 km from Naimisaranya in Sitapur District of Uttar Pradesh. Legend says that Maharshi Dadhichi bathed here in water brought from all the teerthas before donating his bones, hence the name Mishrit or Misrikh.

The holy pilgrimages of this place include Maharshi Dadhichi Ashram and Sita Kund. The convenient railhead is Sandila Railway Station.
