Nizamabad

Nizamabad is a small town situated on the banks of Tons River, 17 km away from Azamgarh, in Uttar Pradesh.

Places of tourist interest include the tomb of Sheikh Nizam-ud-din, an old Gurdwara, the fort of Azam Shah and Kunwar Singh Park (17 km). Nizamabad is also famous for its fancy pottery.

Nearest airport is at Varanasi. Mau Junction Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
