Saunk, also spelt Sonkh, is a 2,500 year old town in Mathura District
The excavations at this place have unfolded a cultural continuity from the 1st millennium B C to the 9th century. The site yielded several rare collections of terracottas
and sculptures of the Kushana Empire.
