Dhaura




Dhaura, in Lalitpur District, is situated at an elevation of 1,384 ft above mean sea level. It is about 13 km from Deogarh, a pilgrimage town famous as the Fort of Gods.

About 5 km from Dhaura, on the banks of the Betwa, is Ranchourji, a place famous for a temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi. Besides, there are remains of ancient temples and a big statue of Lord Hanuman.

Dhaura Railway Station is on the Bhopal-Jhansi rail line. Nearest airport is Civil Airport Khajuraho. Accommodation facilities are available at Deogarh.
