Muzaffarnagar is the administrative headquarters of Muzaffarnagar District and lies on the banks of River Kali. It is a fast developing town in
Uttar Pradesh, in terms of business, agriculture and small-scale industries. Muzaffarnagar is 120 km northeast of
New Delhi.
Muzaffarnagar was founded by Khan-e Jahan in 1633. He named the city after his father, Muzaffar Khan. Milk production is the major source of revenue of the town. Most of its produce is traded in Delhi.
