Chinhat is a place in Kathota taluk of Lucknow District and is 15 km from Lucknow city. The place is famous for pottery. Planters, bowls, tea sets, mugs, vases, and dinner sets can be bought from these units at affordable prices.

Chinhat Picnic Pavilion is a tourist spot and boating can be enjoyed on the Chinhat Lake. The place was associated with the Revolt of 1857.
