Basti (medicated enema) is an ayurvedic
panchakarma treatment. This treatment involves introducing herbal ingredients of sesame oil and certain herbal preparations in a liquid medium into the rectum. It calms constipation, distention, chronic fever, sexual disorders, kidney stones, heart pain, backache and other pains in the joints.
