Uppliyappan Koil is situated 1 km from Tirunageswaram railway station and 6 km from Kumbakonam. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, known by various names such as Uppiliappan, Srinivasan, Venkatachalapathy and Oppiliappan. The Goddess is Bhoomi Devi, Mother Earth. The temple houses an image of Krishna as a child, Ahoratra Pushkarani (a sacred tank) and many teerthas.
