Tiruttani is located in
Tiruvallur District of
Tamil Nadu and is 84 km west of
Chennai.
The place is one of the six abodes of Lord Muruga and is famous for the Subramanya Swami Kovil. Situated on the hilltop, one has to climb 365 steps to reach the shrine and the steps represent each day of the year. Nandi, a small river flows through the northern side of the town.
Nearest airport is Chennai International Airport. Tiruttani Railway Station is on the Chennai-Renigunta line.
