Aivarmalai

Aivarmalai (also known as 'Iyramalai' and meaning 'hill of the five') is located about 15 km west of Palani. This mythologically important hill is 1,400 feet high above the sea level. It is said that the Pandavas took their rest at this hill during their exile. On the northern side the rock forms a natural shelter. The hill is regarded as a holy place for the presence of the shrines of Draupadi, Palani Andavar, and Vinayaka.
