Muskundeshwarar Temple is located to the north of The Moovarkoil in Pudukkottai.
The temple was built by Kunjaramallan of the Chola period, during the 14th century. The temple houses a statue of Nandi as well, this statue has a remarkable resemblance to the Nandi at Tanjore Temple.
Muskundeshwarar Temple is situated about 40 km from Pudukkottai. The nearest railway station is Pudukkottai Railway Station and the convenient airport is Tiruchirapalli Airport.
