Tiruchirapalli Junction Railway Station is a major railhead of the
Southern Railways. (Trichy is the old name of Tiruchirapalli.) Both metre gauge and broad gauge services are available.
There is a tourist information cell at the station to help the visitors. Just across the road is the shopping center, Khadi Kraft.
