Tiruchengode




Tiruchengode, 20 km from Erode and 42 km from Salem, is an ancient and historic town near Cauvery River in Namakkal District. In Tamil 'Tiruchencode' means 'beautifully steeped hill'. Nagasalam, Panimalai, Kodhai Malai, Aravakiri, Vayu Malai, Kongumalai, Nagagiri, Vandhimalai, and Siddharmalai are some other names of this place.

Temples of Arulmigu Arthanari Ishwarar and Arulmighu Kailashanathar are the major religious attractions. Yercaud is 74 km away.
