Muruga. Saint Arunagirinathar has glorified the temple through his hymns from Tiruppugazh. There are also separate shrines for Kasi Viswanathar and Visalakshi. The main festivals celebrated here are Skanda Sashti in the Tamil month of Aippasi, Thaipusam and Aadi Krittikai.
