Tirupattur is a small town, about 8 km from Jolarpettai in
Vellore District. It is an important trading center for the fruits grown in
Javadi Hills. The town has a big sandalwood godown run by the Forest Department.
Tiruppatur has some sightseeing places nearby such as Jalagampaari Waterfall, 17 km from Tirupattur, and
Tirukkottiyur, about 10 km south of Tirupattur.
Jolarpettai Railway Station is on the Chennai-Thiruvananthapuram rail route.
